Doc Homework

Documentary Homework: Planet Earth
Due to the cinematography in the series ‘Planet Earth’ it is creating an incredible land scape which the long shots which introduces the audience into different habitats of different animals. Due to the different habitats, there is a range of different of colours this gives meaning to the montages because certain aspects of the film indicate emotions which is also backed with the music. The music is very beneficial to sequences due to the music reflecting the emotions of the scenes, music can also convince the audience whether to feel a specific emotion, this will give more meaning to the show due to the audience creating a connection within the show.

The voice over helps give meaning to the series because David Attenborough creates a story making the audience feel more involved into the series and have a greater understanding of situations e.g. survival, hunting etc. due to there being a story being plotted the audience feel more attached to characters throughout the episode.
This creates a bond between the characters and the viewers.

Editing has specifically been of greater use to the episode  due to techniques. For example, how time has passed us a time laps or jump cuts to different environments which either indicate a large amount of time has passed onto show we are seeing a different location.
